A huge thank you to Melissa for the otherwise extremely exclusive invitation to visit Google’s new HQ office in Singapore! Located in Pasir Panjang across 3 new buildings, it is probably the most fascinating workplace in Singapore. The new office has to measure up to people’s expectations for sure, considering that everyone know how the Silicon Valley headquarters look like. But rest assured the place is amazing!!!

Mel the tour guide brought us around the key places in the office: Youtube offices, the ‘kampung’ or village themes, offices named after the towns in Singapore and Asia, colour themes for each level etc. The specially designed staircases do make you feel like you are entering a tunnel into another dimension, and that to me is the most attractive part of the office.
And not forgetting the outdoors, which happens to be my personal favourite. Looking out from the roof garden, you see the busy ports along West Coast, the iconic Keppel Bay and the other elegant structures at the Mapletree Business Park… a pleasing sight to behold.
Such a friendly, vibrant and innovative place to be at – the Google HQ in Singapore definitely did not disappoint. Since it’s by invitation only… you might have to see the photos for now and be envious! Haha!
